Ten years ago wedding videos were a completely different kettle of fish, being largely produced by non-professionals or low skilled cameramen scratching around for work. Today the scene is very different with numerous companies like ourselves around the country producing high quality wedding videos. At Bloomsbury Films we like to consider ourselves as one of the best, attracting around 60 bookings per year. What makes our wedding videos so good compared to those in the past is an appreciation of the production values that can be achieved on a wedding shoot. It not just about capturing the event, anyone who can point a camera and press a button can do that! Its about creating an inspired visual narrative. Much of the work involved in creating wedding videos is in the post-production (editing) stage. This involves painstaking efforts to go through the material and find the story as well as the shots which convey the story of the event in the best possible way. If you can achieve that, then anyone will agree wedding videos can be fabulous to watch!
