Winter weddings aren’t as popular in this country as they are in others, but when there is a light dusting of frost (or even better snow) it creates such a mood. Jessica and Edward got such a frost for their church wedding in Surrey. When they woke up on the day, there was a thin blanket of frost coating everything, reflecting the light and creating a fairy-glow. It was quite magical. While the snow lay sleeping outside, inside Jessica and Edward were busy getting ready for their nuptials. We especially liked the instructions which Edward was trying to follow to fasten his tie! Inside, the church was warm, with flickering candles, and was buzzing with anticipation. When Jessica rode up in her beautiful classic car – it was the moment that everyone had been waiting for. The service was over before anyone knew it and soon they were back outside being showered in snow-like confetti.
Once at the reception, the room glittered like a snowflake. Candles flickered and their light was picked up and reflected by the silver ware, only to bounce off the lovely floral sprays. It was a very romantic setting. And when Jessica and Edward took to the floor for their first married dance – they were poetry in motion! Their elegant moves captivated their audience. We wish this beautiful couple all the very best.
Chris and Cecilia planned a rather traditional Chinese Wedding for themselves which involved lots of really interesting rituals – like blindfolding the groom and feeding him crackers or passing a hard boiled egg from one mouth to the next. We can’t say we entirely understood it all, but it was really interesting and our camera operators worked their magic capturing it all on video. The initial preparations were at Selsdon Park Hotel in Surrey which provided a convenient gathering spot for the wedding party. This was followed by a time-honoured Chinese tea ceremony which was really beautiful.
Once completed, it was time to move on to Addington Palace for the civil wedding ceremony. Cecilia got changed into a stunning white strapless dress and was soon ready to walk down the aisle. Our couple exchanged rings, vows and kisses and before anyone knew it, they were man & wife! The weather was amenable to getting outside so we headed out to shoot photographs and video of the wedding party. They were naturals in front of the camera and it was a delight to capture it all. The time came for their Wedding Breakfast which was enjoyed all around by the guests. After dinner everyone went outside for something really special – they set hot-air balloons aloft into the night time sky! It was magical to watch them floating off across the horizon. Thank you Chris and Cecilia.
Nashreen and Sirish held a beautiful Asian wedding at some of West London’s loveliest venues. The day started for Nashreen at Cannizaro House, the stylish hotel set in leafy Wimbledon, which had great facilities for her to prepare for her wedding. With a top-notch hair stylist on hand to fix her hair, she enjoyed a drink and a giggle with her bridesmaids while undergoing her bridal transformation. It’s always great to film these behind-the-scenes moments; they prove to be very popular in years to come. Meanwhile the guests began to appear at Parkstead House for the civil wedding ceremony. When Nashreen arrived, the contrast between her in pure white and her bridesmaids in vivid red was a visual treat and all eyes were on the girls as they made their way up the aisle. Sirish and his best men were looking equally as dashing in their grey morning coats which vivid red ties – a very handsome wedding party all around.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom took the time to greet all the wedding guests and exchange kisses. This was also a good time for us to capture footage of all the wedding guests so that no one gets left out. The guests enjoyed finger foods while listening to the harpist while the wedding party went outside for some fantastic photographs. The lovely smiling couple filled every frame. We wish them much happiness.
Jennifer & Stephen’s church wedding at Sacred Heart Church in West Sussex was one of those perfect late summer weddings where the sun was bright and the church gleamed in the light. All the guests took their time lingering outside on the steps before taking their seats inside the lovely stone church. Jennifer arrived at the church with a beautiful smile on her face which only got stronger as she walked up the aisle. We had one camera trained on her the whole time as she entered the church in order to capture the whole moment of her walking up the aisle to meet Stephen. After the ceremony they walked out of the church hand in hand to be showered with confetti. They climbed into the classic automobile and took off for their reception at Ramster House.
This wonderful reception venue in Surrey, was set up to take advantage of the late summer sun, so guests were able to enjoy a drink in the garden while they wedding party had photographs taken. When it came time to head inside for the wedding banquet the room was set up beautifully. A lot of care had gone into setting up all the place settings and decorations (and we were able to get some footage of it all before the guests arrived!). After dining, Jennifer and Stephen took to the floor for their first dance together – it was a beautiful moment and we are sure it won’t be their last. Congratulations guys!
David and Ceinwen were married in a civil wedding service at Great Fosters in the leafy county of Surrey. Ceinwen and her bridesmaids had a private space set aside for them to collect themselves and attend to hair, makeup and dressing before the wedding service. The girls were on good form keeping each other laughing and giggling throughout. While the girls got themselves ready, we sent one of our camera operators out into the gardens of Great Fosters to capture some of the handsome landscaping. With everything in its greenest state it was particularly beautiful and the water features were mesmerising. It was clear the guests would enjoy spending some time outside. As the guests arrived they enjoyed a quiet drink before making their way to the beautifully decorated wedding chapel. The string players began to play and soon Ceinwen made a stunning entrance walking up the aisle to greet a very happy David.
After the ceremony the wedding party gathered in the conservatory for a celebratory glass of champagne and a chance for everyone to say hello to each other. The call of the beautiful gardens was strong and soon the bridal party answered it to head outside for some photographs. David and Ceinwen posed like pros and they have ended up with some wonderful footage of themselves in the landscaped greenery. We wish David and Ceinwen much joy and happiness in their wedded life together.

Oyin and Kunle enjoyed a lovely early Autumn wedding at All Saints Mitcham Church in Surrey; with the sun shining, the wedding party were able to congregate outside in the forecourt to greet each other warmly before ushering them inside to witness the Nigerian church wedding service for Oyin and Kunle. The bride arrived in a classic car looking like a classic herself in a beautiful white strapless dress. She made her way up the aisle to greet her eager groom. After their vows and the priest’s blessing they made their way back down the aisle holding hands as husband and wife – lit up the entire way by camera flashes. The wedding party posed for photographs in front of the church and our videographers were able to catch all the good bits which happen between the static photos – as people laugh and jostle into place. That’s the beauty of video, it sees everything!
Afterwards, the party made its way to Painshill Park in Surrey for a fabulous reception in a marquee. It was time for everyone to relax and have a visit over a drink. Friendships were renewed and family reacquainted. When everyone gathered outside for one group photograph we were glad for one thing – a wide angle lens in order to fit everyone in! Thank you to Oyin and Kunle for including us in their happy day.
Nirshanthan and Shiyamily had two separate events as part of their Sri Lankan style wedding. The first took place at Addington Palace, in Surrey, where they held a Hindu wedding. Filled with ritual, there were a series of blessings which the family & priest bestowed upon the couple. It is fascinating if you aren’t familiar with it, and we always enjoy filming all the various elements which make up an Asian wedding. Both our bride and groom were dressed in extraordinary rich outfits, covered in intricate detail and made of lovely fabrics. There were live musicians who filled the ceremony with music and entertained both before and after.
The couple then had a civil wedding service at Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire. This was a totally different affair, with the bride in a white dress and the groom in a top hat and tails – and both arriving by a horse-drawn coach up the long drive to the venue! A beautiful civil service was followed by plenty of photographs in the stunning grounds of Woburn. Meanwhile the guests were enjoying a drink out on the lawns (and taking in the July sun). One lovely moment was when they released a bunch of white doves and our camera was able to follow them as they flew up into the sky. Congratulations to Nirshanthan and Shiyamily on two very successful weddings!
Nicola had a great team of supporters – her mum and her bridesmaids – to help her in her preparations for her civil wedding to David. The Mitre Hotel was buzzing with their energy as they went about making her look beautiful. As all their guests started to arrive to All Saint’s Weston in Surrey, it was shaping up to be a wonderful day. David, his best man, and groomsmen were all polished and ready to roll when Nicola made her grand entrance – alighting from a white taxi cab and marching up the aisle to the sounds of the choir wafting from above. After the ceremony, with great big grins on their faces, they were showered in flower petals and good wishes on the front steps of the church. It was a happy moment for all.
The gardens of Hampton Court Golf Club were a spectacular setting for wedding photographs and we couldn’t help but getting some footage of the majestic swans as the floated across the water. Meanwhile the golf club was all set up for their wedding reception and the guests eagerly awaited the return of our newlyweds. They didn’t let them down – cutting the cake with a sword and giving a very enthusiastic first dance. Nicola and David are a wonderful young couple, full of life, and we thank them for letting us be part of their day.
A few months ago we decided to launch our own Facebook Page as a way of interacting with past, present and future clients. We now upload highlights of different jobs to the page as they are completed, so visitors can see our range of work and make comments in an easy, friendly environment. I am pleased to say it is very popular, with clients taking a keen interest in the videos and newcomers watching these as a source of inspiration. Indeed our videos seem to not only serve as an example of good videography, but provide an excellent source of ideas for planning their wedding or event!
We heartily welcome comments from prospective clients, whether they are wondering about how to achieve the best videography, which photographers we recommend or what venues to book. As film-makers we know a lot about making things look good, so our advice is sought after on many subjects. Meanwhile the ‘Discussions‘ section of our Facebook page has a number of topics that are being widely shared. We’ve also included some general tips and advice which we hope our clients enjoy.
